The 2nd International Conference on PPP started in Bishkek with the topic “Joining Efforts: Common Goals, Regional Sustainability.”
The conference is a continuation of the 1st International Conference in Bishkek, held in 2022, and is meant to showcase the results and sustainable progress of the PPP program in the Kyrgyz Republic and the region as a whole while setting new goals for public-private partnerships for the development of green and sustainable infrastructure through an inclusive economic development agenda.
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov made a welcome speech. The Head of the Cabinet noted that the successful holding of the First International Conference on PPP last year, and today's conference, which gathered many active and authoritative players in the sphere of PPP, "became a platform for discussing the most relevant topics on the trends of PPP development, both in the region and around the world".
The Investment Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic (Council) is a partner of the conference, and the Chairman of this Council is the Head of the Cabinet. The conference will share regional experiences and discuss common issues to find solutions for challenges faced through mutual cooperation for achieving the SDG through PPPs. Conference participants will share their expert opinions and views on the current status and prospects of PPP development, taking into account the current regional, political, and environmental challenges in the world.
