On July 05, the Business Development and Investments Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted Donors Coordination Working Group Meeting on Private Sector Development. The main agenda of the meeting was Export and Trade Promotion programs and initiatives. During the meeting representatives of international donor community provided brief presentations of their programs and projects relevant to export and trade development and promotion. Thus ITC, GIZ, JICA, USAID, UNIDO, UNDP and IFC have shared current project and potential project ideas in pipeline.
Also the SECO and OECD field mission representatives have participated at the Working Group Meeting. They have shared information on mission objectives and potential projects intervention areas. The Investment Council has shared brief information from the IC meeting’s agenda relevant to the export and trade promotion, such as improvement of tax administration; optimization of customs regulation; development of agro-products certification laboratories; improvement of international logistic procedures; and others.
