Meeting of the Advisory Group on the Development of the Draft Procedure for the Privatization of Municipal Property

Today, on May 24, a meeting of the Advisory Group dedicated to the development of the Draft Procedure for the Privatization of Municipal Property was held at the office of the Secretariat of the Investment Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting was organized to discuss proposals for improving privatization processes and addressing emerging issues.

Participants actively discussed and analyzed current methods of managing municipal property and proposed ways to enhance these processes.

The main topics of discussion included:

  • Assessment of the current situation regarding the management and leasing of municipal property by entrepreneurs.
  • Privatization methods, such as auction sales, lease with subsequent purchase, and contribution to the authorized capital of business entities.
  • Proposals for improving the legal framework to support the private sector and develop public-private partnerships.
  • Elimination of existing obstacles to the use of municipal property by business representatives.
  • Support for businesses in developing innovations and green projects, as well as creating conditions for investment in fixed assets.

Participants agreed on the need to continue dialogue and develop specific proposals for amending existing regulations to promote the development of public-private partnerships in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Secretariat of the Investment Council expresses gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and fruitful discussions, which will serve as a foundation for the sustainable development of the country.

The event was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, business associations: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Agency for Civil Service and Local Self-Government Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Agency for Property Management under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the PPP Center under the National Agency for Investment, the Union of Local Self-Governments, GIZ "Green Economy and Sustainable Development of the Private Sector", Association of Communication Operators, and the "JIA" Association.
