Open Government Partnership for improvement of business environment and investment climate

On April 26, the Secretariat of the Business Development and Investments Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Open Government Partnership conducted Forum “OGP for improvement of business environment and investment climate”. The Forum was conducted in frame of the memorandum of understanding and cooperation signed between two Secretariats.

Currently Secretariat of the Business Development and Investments Council under the Government of the KR is actively promoting improvement of the business environment and attractiveness of the investment climate. A lot of issues raised at the BDIC platform are correlating with main principles of the OGP initiative; these issues as regulation of inspections, licenses and permits, digitalization of state services, introduction of one-stop-shop principles and many others. Business community has expressed high interest in cooperation with the OGP in order to improve business environment and investment climate.

Forum participants have discussed status and implementation of the commitments in frame of the first OGP National action plan. Additional attention was raised towards commitments aimed at improvement of entrepreneurship. Moreover, participants have considered and discussed additional proposals for inclusion into the OGP National action plan. As a result of the Forum, participants have approved Forum resolution included all proposals raised by business community and representatives of state organizations.

Sign of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with the Secretariat of the Business Development and Entrepreneurship Council under the Speaker of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic

On November 2 the Secretariat of the Business development and investments Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Secretariat of the Business Development and Entrepreneurship Council under the Speaker of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic signed the renewed Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on increase of public-private dialogue between business community and public organizations. On behalf of the Secretariat of the Council under the Speaker the new Head of the Secretariat Mr. Arzymatov Abdilla has signed memorandum.
The main objective of the signed document is to improve cooperation between parties of the MoU on legal aspects regulating business environment, as well as raise awareness of the stakeholders on importance of the public-private dialogue in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The parties of the MoU agreed to cooperate through the following activities:
• Exchange of actual information and experience;
• Conducting of the common conferences, forums, seminars, round tables and other events;
• Discussion and considering of legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic during the events organized by Secretariat of the Business Development and Entrepreneurship Council under the Speaker of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic;
• Discussion and considering of legal regulation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic during the events organized by Secretariat of the Business Development and Investments Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic;
• Conducting of common researches, development and preparation of analytical overviews.

Sign of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with the Secretariat of the Open Government Partnership Initiative

On October 15 the Secretariat of the Business development and Investments Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Secretariat of the Open Government Partnership Initiative signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on increase of transparency, responsibility, accountability and efficiency of the state organizations interacting with business community of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main objective of the signed document is to improve cooperation between parties of the MoU on legal aspects regulating business environment, as well as raise awareness of the stakeholders on importance of the Open Government Partnership Initiative’s mission and objectives.
The parties of the MoU agreed to cooperate through the following activities:
• Exchange of actual information and experience;
• Participation at the events organized by MoU parties;
• Conducting of the common conferences, forums, seminars, round tables and other events;
• Discussion and considering of legal aspects and legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic during the events organized by MoU parties;
• Conducting of common researches, development and preparation of analytical overviews.

Working meeting on Sustainable development projects Foundation

Working meeting on Sustainable development projects Foundation

On October 15 Business Development and Investments Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in cooperation with the Ministry of economics of the Kyrgyz Republic and UNDP project “Capacity building for sustainable development financing in the CIS region” have conducted working meeting on Sustainable development projects Foundation. Representatives of business associations, Ministry of economics, Guarantee fund and UNDP experts have participated at the working meeting.
The main objectives of the meeting were present and discuss information on Sustainable development projects Foundation. The key activity of the Foundation is to increase access for financing of the business development, expanding of production, acquisition and modernization of equipment, implementation of new technologies, innovation activity and launch of new enterprises, as well as increase occupancy level and number of jobs. During the meeting the deputy minister Eldar Abakirov has noted the importance and vital role of the Foundation as a catalyst for business to access financing. Thus, in frame of the Foundation activities entrepreneurs will get technical support for Feasibility study development and expert maintenance during the financial obtain process.
