The Head of the Secretariat of the Council for Business and Investment Development under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Uluk Kydyrbaev, took part in the meeting of the National Council for Tourism Development, chaired by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Chief of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The meeting reviewed the results of the tourism sector’s performance over the first nine months of 2025 and discussed key priorities, including improving infrastructure, strengthening human resources, and enhancing the regulatory framework.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that tourism continues to make a significant contribution to the national economy. In the first half of 2025, the gross value added of tourism reached 30.18 billion KGS, accounting for 4.3% of GDP, with tourism service exports totaling USD 529.5 million, and tax revenues reaching 8.486 billion KGS.
Participants also discussed the development of year-round tourism destinations, incentives for private investment, support for family businesses, the growth of winter resorts, and the promotion of environmental awareness among tourists.
For its part, the Secretariat of the Council for Business and Investment Development continues to actively support tourism as one of the priority sectors of the national economy. In recent months, the Secretariat has hosted a series of working meetings and expert discussions aimed at improving tourism legislation, introducing new regulatory tools, and advancing sustainable initiatives in the sector.
